CHARLESTON, S.C. – State Rep. Deon Tedder, candidate for State Senate District 42, announced his policy proposal to protect women’s rights and ensure their full access to reproductive healthcare.
“I am committed to protecting women’s rights and ensuring their full access to reproductive healthcare,” said Tedder. “I believe that a woman’s right to make decisions about her own body is fundamental, and I will fight to uphold this right.”
Tedder’s proposal includes the following measures:
- Ensuring that all women have access to affordable, quality healthcare, including reproductive healthcare.
- Working to reduce maternal mortality rates, particularly among women of color.
- Advocating for paid family leave and affordable childcare options.
- Establishing support services for low-income mothers.
“No woman should have to choose between having a career and raising a family,” said Tedder. “These measures will not only support women, but also promote gender equality and strengthen families.”
State Rep. Tedder is an outspoken advocate for women’s rights in the State House. He will continue that same work in the State Senate. Make sure to vote for him on Sept. 5th!
